KANSAS CITY PRECINCT David Swickard, Owner Serving Kansas City and surrounding Areas in KS & MO David Swickard: Dave was born and raised in Stilwell, Kansas with his 5 brother & sisters on their 165 acre fourth generation family farm. They raised cattle, horses and currently are raising alpacas. Dave is now married to his beautiful wife, Julia and they have been blessed with two wonderful daughters, Savannah and Stella. Dave graduated from Kansas State University in 1991 with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant Management. He went to work on Vail Mountain after graduation. From Vail he went to work as a wrangler and barn manger at Skyline Guest Ranch in Telluride Colorado. He was a guide for guests on horseback on outdoor adventures throughout San Juan Mountains in the summer months while training and overseeing the daily care of 60 horses. In the winter months, the ranch became a bed & breakfast with fine dining where he worked all facets of the restaurant and skied about 25 days per month while enjoying the western slopes deep powder and incredible scenery. Dave thoroughly enjoyed spending his working hours outdoors with animals and teaching people how to further their horsemanship skills.  Dave eventually returned back to Kansas City and went into orthopedic sales selling replacement hips and knees for about 6 years. Dave then moved to Chicago where he met his lovely wife Julia and were married about a year and a half later. When given the chance to relocate back to Kansas City they did and started their family. Dave went into the mortgage business. He worked for several large mortgage institutions. He realized that road selling and sitting behind a desk after 13 years was enough and was looking for an opportunity to start a business where he could make a good living and do what he enjoyed most, working with animals and the great outdoors. A good friend of Dave’s, Todd Thorp, told him about the idea of herding geese when he saw Border Collies in action while golfing in Colorado. He called Dave and asked me him if he knew of anyone doing this type of work in Kansas City. After doing some further research, Dave found Geese Police® headquarters in New Jersey. The rest is history. Dave and Todd visited the home office in New Jersey and met David Marcks and the rest of the Geese Police® Family and Dave knew he found exactly what he was looking for in a business. Julia and Dave are very excited to start this new chapter in their lives. They look forward to a rewarding and fulfilling lifestyle this business opportunity presents.
